Information
Corvallis
is located in the heart of the Willamette Valley, and is proud to
be the home of Oregon State University. In your free time during
the conference, enjoy the use of Dixon Recreation Center's facilities
including a swimming pool, racquetball and squash courts, weight
training rooms, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts. You can
also visit OSU's Indoor Climbing Center which is located near Dixon.
Both facilities are located within minutes of the on-campus housing
and meeting facilities and are a minimal cost.
For
you outdoor lovers, Corvallis is a "bike friendly" city,
so there are numerous bike/running paths to enjoy. The city also
boasts close to 50 parks within city limits where you can play soccer,
baseball or ultimate frisbee. Take a hike up Mary's Peak for a terrific
view of the Valley. Why not come early and enjoy a round of golf
at the Trysting Tree Golf Club. This beautiful public course is
located beside the Willamette River and is just minutes from the
OSU campus.
If
shopping is more your style, downtown Corvallis offers hundreds
of unique shops to browse through. As part of your conference benefits,
your conference namebadge makes you eligible for discounts at various
stores throughout Corvallis. Take advantage of the fact that Oregon
is sales tax free. More information will be given to you about this
program at the conference.
